Llorenç Romà — Security Researcher at Cyber-Defence Campus. Pentesting, drone security, bug hunting.

Hey, I’m Llorenç. I’m from Mallorca, now based in Switzerland where I’ve been working as a security researcher at the Cyber-Defence Campus (armasuisse) for the past five years.

Most of my time goes into penetration testing — networks, web apps, mobile, embedded devices, you name it. Over the years I’ve tested a pretty wide range of systems, from standard IT infrastructure to some less conventional targets you don’t usually see in a typical pentest scope.

A big chunk of my research has been on drones. I’ve poked at radio protocols, GPS spoofing, drone hijacking, Remote ID — and built some open-source tools around it. That work took me to Black Hat Arsenal in London and Singapore, which was fun. I’ve also supervised a bunch of master’s thesis students from ETH and EPFL along the way.

Lately I’ve been getting into mobile security and hunting bugs on the side. This blog is where I write up the more interesting findings.

All opinions here are my own and not representative of armasuisse.
